Hear a sample

Three memories are waiting. Nothing plays until you ask.

Memory 1 of 3. The kitchen.

Tell me about the house you grew up in.

The kitchen window faced the garden.

When it rained, the radio stayed low.

The whole room smelled like toast.

These are samples, not someone’s real recording. The words on the card are the words you will hear.

Change the place behind it

Each memory brings its own place. You can change it.

Who it is for

Made first for people who are blind or have low vision, including teachers and makers. Open to adults and children who want to create by voice.

  • If you listen VoiceOver, TalkBack, and the other controls are how the app is built. Nothing plays until you ask. Your voice can stay louder than the background.
  • If you would rather speak Dictate or type a prompt. You do not have to build the sound, the voices, or the layout yourself.
  • If you are making something to keep A story for the family, a play for a child, or a private note about the day. Hear it, or read the words.

What the app will do

None of this is open yet. Listening and voice come first. The rest belongs to the same app.

Built for listening

  • Screen readers VoiceOver on iPhone and TalkBack on Android, with a real name on every control. Swipe, tap, and the keyboard do the same jobs.
  • Voice or text Dictate or type. The app handles the shape of the piece, the character voices, and where the sound sits.
  • Your voice stays louder Separate levels for the story, the background, and the interface. Background drops while a person or a screen reader is speaking.
  • Cues you can place and feel Sounds can sit around you, not only in front. On a phone, a tap can match what you just heard.
  • Many languages Speak or write in your language, including local ways of speaking. The piece can come back in that language.
  • As long as you need No timer. Nothing plays until you ask. High contrast, larger text, and slower speech stay available.

What you can make

  • A story or audiobook Narration with room to breathe, and a different voice for each character. Ask to change the music or add a sound, in a sentence.
  • A picture story Start from one photo, used only with consent. The same person stays recognizable as the places change. Every scene is described aloud.
  • A play A script with a voice for each part, and sounds for what happens in the scene.
  • A play for a child A simpler way to make a play. Music and effects stay off unless you turn them on.
  • A short video Between 20 and 30 seconds, with narration, music, pictures, and captions you can read.
  • A private diary A place for the day. It stays yours unless you send one entry to someone you trust. It is a diary, not a clinician.

The sound

  • Voices with feeling Happy, sad, angry, scared, nostalgic, playful, or calm. A character can change voice when you ask.
  • Music Cinematic, slow, high-energy, suspenseful, or quiet.
  • Nature and quiet Rain, waves, a forest, a fire, and soft noise for a diary or a rest.
  • Sounds in the scene Footsteps, doors, weather, animals, and other sounds that belong in the story.

Sharing

  • Private until you say so A spoken yes comes before something is deleted or sent. A photo is described only with consent.
  • Send it to a person Message, email, or text, to someone you choose.
  • A feed, if you want one Format a piece for Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram. Sharing is a choice, not the default.

Questions

When does it open?

There is no public date. This list hears first.

Can I record today?

You can hear three samples on this page. Making your own story, play, pictures, video, or diary opens later.

Do I have to look at the screen?

No. Choose I listen at the top and the picture steps back. You can also move through this page with a screen reader, the keyboard, or the buttons. Nothing plays until you ask. High contrast, larger text, and slower speech are at the top of the page.

Can I use it if I can see?

Yes. Choose I can see and the painting stays. Every step still works if you never look at the screen.

What happens to my email?

We use it to tell you when Memoir Magic opens. Reply to that message if you want it removed.
